Easter Flower Donations

The time has come for Easter flower donations. These can come in the form of money to purchase flowers, or in providing lilies, tulips, or other spring flowering plants (primroses, pansies etc.). There are forms at the back of the church and on the bulletin board across from the kitchen. Please talk to Suzanne Hierholzer about any questions.

Dinner with the Bishop

The Vestry will also be hosting a casual dinner for the parish with Bishop LaBelle on Saturday, April 5th at 6 pm, featuring clam chowder, minestrone soup, and bread rolls. A sign up for those who would like to attend, as well as one for those who can help with set up and clean up or provide salad or dessert, will be available after service and on the bulletin board across from the kitchen. Also, please note when planning food: Bishop LaBelle is allergic to pine nuts.

Bishop’s Discretionary Fund

Please note that all offerings gathered on April 6th, during the bishop’s visit, go to the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund. This fund allows the bishop to respond to unforeseen needs, especially to support clergy and their families.

Stations of the Cross

On Friday, April 11th at 5:30 pm a devotional practice that traces the journey of Jesus from his condemnation to his burial, in the sanctuary.

Art Installation

We have a display of photographic art in Giles Hall, courtesy of photographer Lou MacMillian. Lou is a parishioner of St Johns in Olympia and has graciously lent us these pieces Easter to enjoy! However, the reception has currently been postponed until further notice.

All-Night Vigil

We will be having an all-night vigil from 8 pm on Maundy Thursday (April 17th) to 8 am on Good Friday. Please speak to Barb Dyer if you are interested in participating.

Coffee Hour

We are in need of coffee hour hosts for several upcoming Sundays. If you are interested, the sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board across from the kitchen.

Prayer Chain

A reminder that we have started a prayer chain to better support each other. If you, a friend, or a family member are in need of prayer, please contact Laurel Sheffield with the details you are comfortable sharing at laurelcsheffield@gmail.com or 859-457-0550 (text only) and your request will be passed on to the congregation to be lifted in prayer. If you want to make sure to receive Laurel’s emails, make sure to add hir email address to your address book.
