We are a congregation within the Episcopal Church in Western Washington (Diocese of Olympia) and The Episcopal Church USA.
SPECIAL SERVICE NOTE:
We welcome all members of the community to our special Service of Remembrance on the 25th Anniversary of the Attacks on September 11, 2001 on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 7 pm. The service will be live-streamed on our Facebook Page.
We also welcome current members, former members, and guests to our Old Home Sunday Service and Picnic
on Sunday, September 13 at 11 am (note later service time).
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is a part of the Diocese of Olympia and the Greater Grays Harbor community, with our history going back to May of 1890. Our members come from Aberdeen, Cosmopolis, Hoquiam, Elma, Montesano, Westport, Ocean Shores and surrounding unincorporated areas. We are a congregation of varying ages who welcomes everyone wherever they are in their walk of life and faith.
Sunday worship with Eucharist is offered at 10 am every Sunday. We also offer a weekly Evening Prayer service at 6:15 pm on Wednesdays. The Book of Common Prayer is the basis for our services, with some Holy Days and Saint Days celebrated. Music is provided by our beautiful pipe organ, Steinway piano, handbell choir, and chancel choir during the program (academic) year. We welcome new members to be a part of the bell and/or chancel choir.
Faith education classes are offered for all ages. The classes will vary throughout the year as determined by the interest within the parish membership.

About Our Congregation
St. Andrew’s is known for our community outreach as well as our red doors! Our community outreach includes collecting food for the local food bank, school supplies for area schools, underwear and socks for the local clothing bank, and helping homeless families transition to permanent housing through the Family Promise Program.
Our doors are open for AA and NA meetings. Our parish hall is used for family reconciliation classes and meetings. We also offer our church and parish hall for other community functions.
Our Community
The Aberdeen area has a rich history. Founded in 1884 by Samuel Benn and incorporated in 1890, it started as a booming timber town. It evolved into a gritty, rough-and-tumble seaport known as the “Hellhole of the Pacific”. Throughout most of the twentieth century, Aberdeen was a timber boom town and the only active Pacific port in Washington State. While it retains its status as an active port and proudly proclaims itself the “Lumber capital of the world!”, excess logging and environmental restrictions have severely curtailed logging income to a fraction of what it was. Modern employment in Aberdeen is led by health care, retail trade, and public administration rather than historical timber extraction. [1]
Today, Aberdeen is famous as the “Birthplace of Grunge” and the hometown of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain. It also functions as the “Gateway to the Olympics” for those who wish to explore the Olympic Peninsula.
