June Events 2022

 
June 18th Supporting outreach mission, our Ukraine Benefit Concert will be held Saturday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Bobbi McCracken and Bette Worth are arranging publicity and a beautiful dessert reception to follow the concert.
 
June 19th– Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans, on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865, announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas, which was the last state of the Confederacy with institutional slavery.
 
June 19th Father’s DayAs it was with Mother’s Day, this is the day to honor fathers, grandfathers, uncles, friends, or anyone who took on the role of Father’ in your life.  It’s a day to say a prayer and give thanks, or possibly forgiveness, to the that person, for a doing a job that does not come with an instruction manual, but lots of unsolicited opinions.
