Question 3: What brought you to St. Andrews and when?
| Church Search; February 2025 | Friend; 1978 |
| I moved with my son to Aberdeen 2018. I knew no one, St Andrews Beckoned and it’s been the best community | What brought me was the structure, liturgy, and an honest and apparent love for the community. First came about 3 weeks ago |
| Father Don! | My wife |
| Moved to Cosmopolis in 2021 | Lifelong Episcopalian |
| I was attending my ex-husband’s church then his cousin’s church, both of which were not for me. So I came home to St Andrews in 1991 | A census taker who was a member of St Andrew’s introduced my mother to Rev Norris Twitchell. The rest is history |
| My wife; 1979 | Husband |
| It’s our church; 1997 | My parents brought me here when I was born |
| Work brought me to the area | Retired; moved to area in 2018 |
| I moved to Aberdeen and was looking for an Episcopal Church | Moved to Washington from Texas. This church felt holy and friendly |
| 1986 when the church in Hoquiam closed | Moved to the Harbor |
| Inspired by church service, All Saints Chapel and Trinity School | Moved to Aberdeen, living with daughter and grandson |
| I moved to Hoquiam in Jan 2023 and knew from St Ben’s in Lacey that St Andrews was solid. | In January 2025 I decided to return to church, and was glad to find a welcoming Episcopal parish in Aberdeen |
| We moved here 20 years ago, saw the red doors, and were welcomed in immediately | Family move |
| Shari Goretti brought me here in 1998 | Audrey Dominoski; 1971 |
| The Holy Spirit via Fr Dale | Divorce; 1999 |
| Similar church architecture as church in Europe | I’m an Episcopalian now; 1997 |
We will be having another all-parish breakfast on the fourth Sunday of July and August. On those days, there will be a shorter service, followed by a light breakfast. Those signed up for coffee hour will be hosts, and everyone else is encouraged to bring sides, such as fruit, boiled eggs, muffins, or juice.

A Piece of History
From the Daily World:
May 26, 1990
Bishop Vincent Warner of the Diocese of Olympia will be the speaker next Friday night at the Centennial Dinner at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Aberdeen.
St Andrew’s became as a missionary church in the 19th century when the Rev. Dr. Reuben Denton Nevius, a circuit rider priest, as the prime mover.
The congregation was meeting in the Methodist church at First and F streets. A rectory was built at Third and I, on lots given the parish by Samuel Benn and J. M. Weatherwax. The first church was consecrated in 1895 at the present site, First and G on property also donated by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Benn
